TRNDSET is a Nordic Insights and trend intelligence platform that tracks social media in real time.
By analyzing content, formats and conversations from thousands of creators, TRNDSET identifies emerging trends and conversations - converting the data into actionable insights. And suggests how you can create content based on these. Our technology goes beyond keywords and hashtags: it recognizes what appears in the content itself visuals, products, brands, actions, music, captions, and context.
TRNDSET helps brands, agencies, and media partners understand what’s shaping the online behaviour and discover where and how to add value to the conversation.
Dont jump on every trend. TRNDSET can help you choose and tap into your community.
We combine automated detection with human QA to ensure that every creator in our system provides meaningful insight into what’s trending.
1. We look for active creators Creators must post consistently — not necessarily daily, but enough for our algorithms to detect patterns, formats, and emerging trends. Dormant or inactive accounts are filtered out.
2. We prioritise creators, not brands Our detection pipeline separates companies/shops/salons from real creators. The focus is on people sharing opinions, expertise, reviews, tutorials, reactions, or storytelling.
3. We check for minimum audience signals Not strict follower thresholds, but an indication that the creator reaches a community:
Real followers
Engagement
Clear audience language (FI, DK, NO, SE, EN)
4. We classify by language and region Only creators communicating in Nordic languages (or FI/ENG, DK/ENG, etc.) qualify for tracking in our Nordic database.
5. We assess content quality and format diversity Creators who contribute to the wider culture on social—tutorials, reviews, trends, reactions, storytelling, routines, challenges—are prioritised.
6. We avoid spam, AI-only, or low-value accounts Accounts posting AI-generated faces, spam giveaways, repost aggregators, or stolen content are filtered out.
7. We run automated classification + human QA Our discovery engine pulls large sets of creators, then we refine them through manual review to ensure:
Relevancy
Not a business
Content is valuable
Language fit the nordic market
Account is alive
Creator is unique (no duplicates) - however, an account might be present on several platforms.
Nothing actually. TRNDSET gives you the insights and ideas based on the data. But the magic happens in combination with you and TRNDSET.
All recommendations and text are AI-generated. AI is great at coming up with ideas and insights, but humans like you bring the context, creativity, and common sense to ensure everything makes sense, stays accurate, and feels relatable😊.
A trend on TRNDSET can be either a Topic, Brand, Product, or Format – depending on how our algorithm classifies it.
A trend is created when a certain number of posts share similar characteristics over a 7-day period.
If no new content is added to the trend, it will disappear and can only be found again if the algorithm finds the same characteristics once more or if you select the original date range.
A Trend includes:
Additionally, you can view the top posts and top-performing creators within the trend.
At the bottom of the Trend page, you can also access Ideas, and generate Example Posts and Storyboards. You can read more about these features here.

A topic trend reflects the trending conversation happening among creators.
Our algorithm detects when creators are posting about similar themes, ideas, or topics within a 7-day period, and condenses these into a Topic trend.
Within an Interest, you may see several Topic trends that appear related.
These represent different angles or perspectives on the same broader conversation. You can choose the one that best fits the insights or direction you’re looking for.
A Topic trend includes a short description, a trend line, key metrics (impressions, engagement, platform distribution, number of posts and creators), and related keywords such as products, formats, and brands.
You can also view the top posts and top-performing creators within the Topic, and generate Ideas, Example Posts, and Storyboards from the bottom of the Trend page.
A format is the type, structure, or genre of content for example GRWM, vlog, haul, recipe, tutorial, or unboxing. It describes how the content is presented, not the topic, product, or brand. Our Format Trends show you which content formats are trending within an Interest. For example, within Food, the format “Cook along” might be trending.
The purpose of Format Trends, is to help you decide how to present your message in the most relevant and engaging way for your audience.
We only gather content from creators. This means that the brands appearing in Trends are the ones currently trending among creators.
We only gather content from creators. This means the products shown in Trends are the products currently trending among creators. Some posts may include paid collaborations, but we do not display business ads. Only organic content.
Feed lets you view all content within an Interest or Trend.
In addition, you can search directly inside the feed view. Something may not qualify as trends yet, which is why we’ve added the option to search within the Feed.
You can search by a single word for example “foundation” to see all content related to that term. You can also search by creator: Simply enter the creator’s name in the search bar to view their content within the selected Interest or Trend.
You can sort the Feed by: Interest, Trend, Date Range, Type, Language, Platform, and Engagement
In Feed you can sort by:
Interest name, trend within an interest & date range.

An Interest is a focus area you want to track, such as: Beauty, Christmas, Travel, Food, Fashion or other themes relevant to you. It acts as a “lens” through which the TRNDSET algorithm finds and organises trends and generate ideas helping marketers stay updated without needing large resources or manual research.
We’ve created a set of pre-made Interests that are available to all TRNDSET users. To explore them, go to Interests → Add Interest. Sort Interest by: Country, Trend Type, Date range, Most trending Note: If you want to niche down, read how in: Create your own Interest and Best practice for creating your own interest.
We’ve created a set of pre-set Interests that are available to all TRNDSET users. These are "boarder". Such as Food, Travel, Health, Tech, Beauty, Fashion, Christmas, Halloween etc.
To explore them, go to Interests → Add Interest.
You can choose to:
Go to Interests → Select an Interest (e.g., Beauty) → Subscribe → View Posts or View Trends.
You can sort by engagement, newest, or oldest, depending on the insights you want.
Can't find what you are looking for? Create a Custom Interest.
Go to: Interest → Your Interests → search for what you are looking for → not finding it? Click, create from scratch → Fill out the details:
Click Save.
The algorithm will then scan all creators and their content over the next few hours to find trends relevant to your Interest.
Please note: Best practices for creating your own Interest
There are two ways to set up the algorithm for success and find everything related to your trend wish.
Avoid: Audience descriptions, young, youth, old, older, intentions or abstract words. The Interest description should be broad enough for the system to find patterns, but focused enough to surface meaningful trends within that theme.
Note. Currently our algorithm works the best in English. To get the most trends, select all countries when you create your own interest. You can always sort afterwards.
Our algorithm calculates an Interest from point of creation and looks 30 days back. From which it updates daily with content that matches the Interest to see what is trending. If you add to or change the description, the algorithm looks 7 days back and includes content that fits the updated description. If you delete an Interest, it will appear at the bottom of Your Interests should you wish to reactivate it.
It will not generate trends during the period it is deactivated.
Collections let you save, organize, and share content such as trends, posts, ideas, post examples, storyboards, and creators.
They work like a data-driven moodboard, perfect for gathering insights and inspiration for an upcoming campaign, occasion, or season.
Your collections can be visible to you only or to your company. Change the visibility settings to “Entire company” to collaborate with your team.
A collection can always be shared externally by making the collection sharable. Just copy the url and send it to a colleague, a client or someone else
Go to Collections → Add new collection → Fill out details:
You can change a collection’s visibility at any time.
In TRNDSET you will see this icon ★ on Trends, Posts, Ideas, Post Examples, Storyboards, and Creator profiles.
To save items for a Collection:
Click the ★ icon → Choose a collection → The item is added.
How do I remove an item from a Collection?
Open the collection → Find the item → Remove item.
Can I control what is shown inside the Collection?
Yes. You can filter what you want to view. For example, if you don’t want to see post examples, simply disable that view using the X.
How do I share a Collection?
If external sharing is enabled, you can share it by copy link or sending it directly via email using the Share buttons on the top right corner.
Based on all insights from a trend, the algorithm suggests six different ideas you can use to leverage a trend.
When you click on an idea, TRNDSET generates three example posts (in your chosen language) containing:
Choose the example post language: Danish, English, Swedish, Finnish, German, Dutch, French, Italian, Spanish, or Portuguese. If you want to generate a storyboard go to How do I generate storyboards?
Sometimes it can be difficult to explain an idea in words, and someone might say, “Can you draw it for me?” This is why we created Storyboards - to help you visualize your idea for yourself and for others involved. They may not be a perfect 1:1 representation, but they can provide a strong indication of what you have in mind.
Pick a trend >> scroll down to ideas >> choose an idea >> generate a storyboard from an example post.
Because we know the human brain often stops being creative when something looks “fully finished,” our storyboards are made as sketch-style drawings.
Each idea generates three storyboard sketches, in real time, so it may take a few minutes.
If a trend has the 🔥-icon it’s catching everyone’s attention, with many creators talking about it.
It’s determined by how quickly it’s racking up likes and views
If a trend has the 👀-icon it could be the next big thing sooner than you expect, and you need to keep your eyes on it.
We track its potential by analyzing how quickly it’s gaining likes and views.
